WHY ORGANIC IS GOOD FOR YOU
Your skin is your largest organ, what touches it impacts your health, fertility, and endocrine system.
Our nightgowns are made from 100% organic cotton, a natural fiber that’s free from synthetic plastic, toxic pesticides, harsh chemicals, and endocrine-disrupting residues found in most synthetic loungewear.
ORGANIC COTTON VS REGULAR COTTON
Organic Cotton:
No pesticides. No fertilizers. No GMOs. No chemical finishes. No harsh dyes. No chlorine bleaches. No formaldehyde. No bad stuff - just pure organic cotton.
The Results:
Better for sensitive skin. Better for hormone health. Better for fertility safety. Better for the soil. Safer working conditions for farming communities.
WHAT GOTS MEANS
Our organic cotton fabrics are certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) — the highest and most trusted benchmark for organic textiles worldwide.
GOTS verifies the entire journey of a garment, from the seed in the soil to the fair labor in the factory. Meaning it's not just better for you, but better for the planet and the people behind our clothing.
CLEAN FOR YOU AND THE EARTH
We believe what you wear should care for your body and the world it comes from. Our organic cotton is fully biodegradable, plastic-free, and finished without harmful chemicals or toxic treatments. It keeps irritants off your skin and microplastics out of our water systems. It also uses significantly less water to grow, preserves soil health instead of stripping it, and supports farmers who work without exposure to hazardous chemicals.
ETHICALLY MADE IN LOS ANGELES
Our nightgowns are made in Los Angeles, they are knit in a family-run mill, then cut and sewn just a few miles away at a female-owned circular manufacturer.
We partner with the only GOTS-certified mill in LA, also recognized by Textile Exchange and the Higg Index for meeting some of the highest global sustainability standards.
Because everything is knit, dyed, finished, cut, and sewn locally, our carbon footprint stays remarkably small.
MADE TO LAST
Nothing is worse than investing in a piece just for it to fall apart. At Lucine, we design pieces meant to live with you for decades to come.
Organic cotton fibers are naturally stronger, softer, and more durable because they’re never weakened by harsh chemicals. Our fabric is also thoughtfully pre-laundered to remove ~90% of shrinkage before you even get it. She’s been wash tested during development and is built to last.
