Timeline Explained
Here's step by step how your nightgown is made with care:
1. Fabric is Knit in LA (5 weeks). Our fabric is custom-knit by a local fabric mill (not pulled off a roll from a warehouse or shipped in).
2. Pre-Laundering (1 week). We pre-launder all the nightgowns to prevent shrinking at home and to soften the fabric even more.
3. First Quality Test (1 week). Once the fabric is ready, it’s tested for shrinkage and imperfections to make sure every piece is high quality and lasts.
4. Fabric is Cut by Hand. A skilled cutter lays out the fabric and cuts each pattern. It is not run through bulk machines or mass laser printers which leads to quality defects.
5. Garments Are Sewn by Hand. Each nightgown is sewn by hand, not rushed through an assembly line. The team is paid fairly and incentivized to do quality work, not pump out as many as they can in an hour.
6. Second Quality Check (1 week). Every single piece is hand-checked for loose threads, even stitching, and overall quality before it’s sent out.
